Shakti and the Koren Helmet – which is more effective?
A study was done to answer this question, which focused on a Shakti session design that used three coils over each hemisphere (one positive/north over the temporal lobes and one negative/south over the frontal lobes and another one over the parietal lobes). The left side received the amygdala-derived signal, while the right side received the hippocampal signal.
The study found that Shakti performed as well as the Koren Helmet in the delta, theta, low alpha, beta, or gamma ranges. Within the high alpha range (10.5 Hz to 13 Hz), Shakti was more effective.
The study used QEEG (Quantitative Electroencephalography) monitoring in real time.

Disclaimer:
The paper referred to “The Shakti treatment”, even though Shakti does not prevent or diagnose any medical disorders. Shakti’s sessions are not treatments for any medical disorders. No statements about Shakti have been evaluated by the FDA. “The Shakti Procedure” would have been a better phrase, but we are still deeply appreciative of E. Tsang, M.A. Persinger, and S. Koren for their continuing efforts to research this technology.
